Update: Wow. Just wow. Check his blog again.
Too much angsty-ness on my mind so let me just introduce you more fully
to one of my favorite celebrities, Mr. Gilbert Arenas.
It
doesn't take a sports fan to recognize the humor in Agent Zero's
blog.
But to truly understand him, you've got
to breakdown his pathology.
More
importantly, let's take a look behind
the bluster to see the brightness.
Yet - and
this is why I like him - he's so real. like me. he's insecure. he
psyches himself out (see recent games against Kobe, Suns, Blazers).
he's uber-competitive. he doesn't sleep on his bed. he gets happy.
he gets sad. I've been explaining this to my friends over the last few
weeks, but today, Chuck Klosterman decides to concur
in a NY Times piece.
P.S. I also wanted to highlight
some really well-written sports journalism. Those articles above are
all reminiscent of an amazing David Foster Wallace piece
last year on Roger Federer. Comforting to know that good writing
exists in all different spheres.
Gilbert's also been featured recently in Time Magazine and the Wall Street Journal.
